You may wish to change the port that Leapwork Agent listens on from the default one (6777) to a different value if another application is already running on the default one as that will cause the Agent service to fail during startup.
Changing the port settings manually
The (very) manual way of changing the port number and avoiding a re-installation is described in the following:
- Stop the Leapwork Agent:
- Change Leapwork Agent port:
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\LEAPWORK\Agent
- Find the agent.config file and open it as administrator using Notepad
- Change “AgentPort” to some other port (shown below) save and close the config file.
- Start Leapwork Agent service. Just follow the steps from point number 1, but use “Start” command at the last step.
Port is now changed, make sure you open TCP Port{new Agent port} in your firewall before testing connection.
Once firewall port is open test agent connection using Leapwork Studio as shown below.
