Automation is not complete without high-quality reports. Documentation of tests and process automations enable the tester or process owner to quickly and reliably analyze results and debug failed flows.
It is often a project requirement to share test and automation reports with our managers, colleagues, and clients. Therefore it is essential to have a simple mechanism for sharing reports.
Leapwork provides multiple tools for reporting and monitoring flows: visual dashboards and structured reports. While any report can be downloaded directly from Leapwork, you can also share a run item so other Leapwork users can automatically open the specific run within Leapwork.
How to use this feature:
- Launch Leapwork Studio and go to the Reporting tab.
- Select any result from either “All-Time Results” or “Results by flow this week.”
- Right-click on the result and click “Share run item.”
- Once the option “Share run item” is clicked, it will open a small pop-up box with options to either “Copy link” or “Share by email.”
If you click "Copy link," the link for this result will be copied to the clipboard and can then be shared with other Leapwork users.
Leapwork users who have this link can launch any browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) and paste the run item shared and a pop-up will appear asking them to open the Leapwork application.
Users can select “Open” to view the result.
Clicking this link will automatically launch the Leapwork studio and open that particular result.
Share by email
If you click the second option “Share by email,” Leapwork will automatically launch your default email client, like Microsoft Outlook. The user can then provide the email address of the Leapwork user with whom they want to share the result. A link to the result will be added automatically to the email as shown below:
