Introduction
While working on any Development or Testing framework or tool, one of the most important features is to be able to restore to previous versions. This is vital as it makes your framework/tool more robust.
Alongside a host of other features, Leapwork does provide a user with the functionality to restore to previous versions.
Description
A user can use the Leapwork Restore Version Feature in three ways:
Method 1. Only Flow
Restore the flow leaving references to the existed locators (images, web/desktop elements, sub-flows, files), locators that were deleted will be restored.
Let's understand with the help of an example.
Suppose we have a flow "Version history" and its locators stored as follows.
As an example, we delete all the captured locators from the flow and save the flow.
Now we are going to restore it in "Only Flow mode" from some previous history version where we had the flow with all the locators in it.
We now have found the flow without locators.
Method 2. Full Copy
Restore the flow and make a copy of all used locators.
Here on doing "Full Copy", we get another Flow with all the captured locators also.
Method 3. Full Restore
Restore the flow with all the locators used.
Conclusion
As you have seen how do the flows restore options works. It depends upon the project requirement, which needs to be used.
