Video recording of the flow is one of the important steps for doing the debugging of the flows ran in the studio. On rare occasions, LEAPWORK users are unable to fetch the video recordings of the flow which they were able to see before. There could be multiple reasons for this. A user must check the below scenarios to figure out the reason for the same:
- One of the reasons could be the deleted or moved Automation RunMedia files from the path - C:\Program Files\LEAPWORK\Assets\AutomationRunMedia (which is the default path for storing the LEAPWORK media files). We strongly recommend users to take a backup before modifying LEAPWORK assets. Hence backup is very necessary before moving files, which is one of the ways to reduce the load from the controller for memory optimization, which is the recommended approach in case users experience performance issues.
- In case, a user has set the below retention policies for scheduled/preview runs, the video recording will be automatically getting deleted after 1 hour from the execution time if the flow has passed successfully.
- In continuation of the above point, users have to also make a note that if the threshold date has arrived (i.e specific date > Number of days to keep-10), this will also cause the removal of the video recording of the flows.
