LEAPWORK can send emails from any email account using the Send Email block. This block requires SMTP settings for the email server to be setup in the studio email settings section.
Although all email accounts work perfectly but in case you are experiencing difficulties in sending the mails through gmail and you get the error message "Test Connection Failed" while testing connection in the Email settings, you can fix this by configuring additional settings in your gmail account.
Even though the test connection is successful then also you might face issue while sending the email through Schedule.
Gmail has a feature that allows you to block sign-in attempts at the domain or organizational unit level from some apps or devices that do not use modern security standards, the same holds true for any Automation Software. You need to turn this setting on for using the gmail account.
To configure this:
1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/intro/security
2. Login with your credentials which you are using to send the email.
3. Scroll down and there you need to turn the Allow less secure apps to ON.
Try retesting the connection once it is done. Please run the scheduler using the below SMTP settings and it should be sending the email to the specified email address successfully as post-action trigger from the scheduler.
