The Audit Log contains information about all events that have occurred on the LEAPWORK Automation Platform. This includes editorial events as well as the running of flows using scheduling, the REST API or by any other method.
Only users with the Administrator role can access the Audit Log and are allowed to filter, search, and export log data.
The Audit Log can be used for internal as well as external audits and can serve as a tool to debug unusual events and scenarios.
To access the Audit Log feature, Open LEAPWORK Studio Go to Settings> Scroll to Audit Log option and you will see the details as shown in the image below:
To understand the logs more efficiently here's the scenario that you can refer
Scenario 1: What activity has taken place between two dates?
When you come to the Audit Log view, in the top ribbon you will see two date dropdowns. Select the desired dates in the "From" and "To" fields then click on the "Load" option. The application will then show you the details of the activities performed on the Studio.
Scenario 2: What activity has taken place between two dates for a particular hostname?
When you come to the Audit Log view, in the top ribbon you will see two date dropdowns. Select the desired dates in the "From" and "To" fields, then click on the "Load" option. The application will show you the details of the activities performed on the Studio. Now, apply an additional filter on the basis of the "HostName". To do this, just hover on the Hostname label and you'll see an icon (see the image below). Click on that icon to view the “Hostname”.
You can use the other Column labels to filter the logs, as per your requirement.
Reset the log filter
In case you want to apply a new filter, simply click on the Reset button then all the applied filters will be removed so you can start from scratch.
Exporting the log
The Audit Log can be exported into Excel, HTML, or PDF format in case the data is needed outside of LEAPWORK. Click 'Export' to save the log data – respecting any added filters – in one of the three formats.
