When working with virtual desktop systems like VMware and Citrix, it has been observed that virtual desktops do not provide any offset information. This results in abrupt mouse movement (mouse jumps) across the screen. Selecting "Position" mode in this situation will ensure that Leapwork captures the correct position of elements on the screen, thereby ensuring no abrupt mouse movement during capturing across the screen.
So, the user should select "Position" mode when conducting automation in a virtual environment. In other conditions the "Offset" mode will work perfectly.

Leapwork provides two different options to capture the elements on web, these are "Offset" and "Position". By default, Leapwork captures all elements using the "Offset" method which gets a mouse offset from the screen when the user moves the mouse over the screen to capture the elements.

Note: The other way to fix this issue in VMware is to use the "Optimize mouse for games" option in mouse settings. Select "Automatic" or "Always" mode (shown below).
